Nail Polish of the Week: Royal Purple
Anyways, this week I really wanted a purple for some reason... maybe I am having a bought of school spirit. I decided to go dark purple instead of my usual Done Out in Deco. My favorite dark is OPI's Eiffel for this Color, but mine is like completely and utterly destroyed/ empty. So I had to search my nail polish for the perfect purple.
I came up with E.L.F.'s Royal Purple. I got this last Christmas, but hadn't used it because my sister told me the Elf colors chipped and came off really easily, but I was desperate.
So far its worked out pretty well, I have been wearing it for a whole day now, and no serious chipping to report. But we shall see. One thing I have to say, I liked the brush this nail polish came with, it was nice and thick which made for a quick and easy application.
Speaking of Elf, I had bought a bunch of makeup from them recently, a nice little haul... perhaps I'll do a post/review of a few of the things I got.

Smokin'
- Mac's Paint Pot, Painterly
- Maybelline's Amethyst Smokes
- Maybelline's Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner
- Estee Lauder Blush "Pink Kiss"
- Estee Lauder' Tiger Eye lipstick
- Mary Kay's Black Cherry lipstick
- Milani's Glitzy Glamourgloss
The Smokey Eye
- I started off with my normal base routine, then I started off my eyes with MAC's Paint Pot in Painterly as a base
- I then used the white and covered my eye to the brow
- Next I used the bright purple color and spread it from the lash line to the crease
- Then I took the darker purple and dusted it on the lid
- Taking the black, I then smudged it up from the lash line
- Then I lined my eyes with Maybelline Gel Liner, and used Loreal Voluminous Mascara
- To finish off the look, I used Estee Lauder Blush "Pink Kiss", then mixed Black Cherry and Tiger eye lipsticks and put gloss over it.
The Final look...

XXI
The First time I walked into the Forever 21 store at the mall near my house, I hated it! It was way too big and unorganized, the lighting was too bright and music too loud… and I am a firm believer that the ambience of a store directly affects your shopping experience. So needless to say, I didn’t even want to go in there. But a few weeks ago my friend Rhonda told me that XXI was coming out with a Plus-sized line, Faith 21.
A plus-sized line… Trendy clothes that would fit me?!?!?! That’s like unheard of, so of course I had to check it out. But I could not set foot into the actual store… so off to Forever21.com.
I really like the website, its easy to use and they update all the time so its so much more practical to shop online rather than making a trip to the mall every other day. And their shipping is pretty fast, it comes free with a $75 purchase, which I usually get, and if you don’t like something that you have bought on line, you can return it to the store.
So with my need for cute plus-sized clothing and my love of online shopping, I was easily drawn into the whole Forever 21 craze… sad and hypocritical, I know.
I have always found trouble finding cute and casual dresses, so the bulk of my Forever 21 buying comes in the form of dresses. The only problem with them though is the fact that they are really short so you most likely have to wear leggings with them.
Vanna Pleated Dress in Purple $22.80
- Which I have paired grey leggings with, which looked really cute!

Abstract Ikat Halter Dress $19.80
- I am going to put a colored tank under this one so that I can wear it to work

I also got some cute shirts from Forever 21

I also got some cute Jewelry from Forever 21 but I think I will save those for another post.
Much love!
