Nail Polish of the Week: Stealing the Scene

I know it has been a while, but truthfully I didn't paint my nails for about a month. GASP! Last week I went with Stealing the Scene from Essie its a metallic mixture of silver and gold... and after a while it just looked completely silver.  Nevertheless, its a great festive color.

And I misplaced my camera... so Iphone pictures for now. 

This week, I have my KISS Everlasting French Manicure going. I haven't grown tired of it yet and popped them all off, hopefully I'll keep them on a full week this time.

And my toes are a lovely shade of Envy, which looked especially festive with my red peep-toe flats. 

Nail Polish of the Week: Envy

This week, my nails are green with Envy! The color of the week is Ulta's Envy. I got this color for my birthday, but hadn't used it because I felt it was more of a fall/winter color. However I couldn't keep myself from it anymore. I decided the shimmery green reminded me of the outside of a watermelon so I painted my toes OPI's La Paz-itively Hot, a shimmery hot pink, and my fingers green... my own take on a watermelon... Voila, enjoy!

Formal Dash

So I usually take forever to get ready... I have to get up extra early, wash my hair, do make up get dressed... I usually give my self at least two hours to get ready for school or work. For formal things like prom back in the day... I gave myself at least half the day to get ready. But yesterday, when I was getting my sister ready for a formal event she was invited to, she gets this call. Its a call inviting me to come along with her.... I have an hour to get ready. 

I immediately ran to the shower to wash my hair... a quick conditioner and then I blow dried it... with my mothers help. I then straightened my hair in the quickest time I have ever done it before did makeup and got dressed in about 45 minutes... It was amazing I was so proud of my self, because I thought that we would for sure be late to the event! But we weren't. 

I am so thankful that we still had my dress from prom like two years ago... and that it still fit pretty well. 

For makeup, I did my normal: moisturizer, concealer, foundation... I used a Clinique base on my eyes, then I used and NYX eyeshadow pencil and covered my eye in that. Then I used an ULTA eyeshadow quad I put Silk (which looked like a creamy silvery white on the eye) all over and up to the brow bone. Then I used  Gunmetal (a dark shimmery grey) in the corner and I used Twilight (a purpley grey) to blend into the Silk. I put Indigo Blue gel liner from coastal scents. Estee Lauder Plum blush and a Clinique lipstick with my Sugarberry Mark Kay lipgloss over it. 

Nail Polish of the Week

So I was at Ulta the other day, getting a gift card for a friend's birthday. As I was waiting at the counter for the lady ahead of me to check out, I looked over and they had a basket full of little pink zip top bags. the bag was $5 and when I looked inside it contain two full sized OPI bottles: Shorts Story and a Top Coat! How exciting as I had been wanting to buy shorts story the week before!  So this week my nails are pretty in pink!

Ulta Trip

Made an awesome trip to Ulta today, I didn’t get much but it was interesting.

Right when we got there, as I was walking out the car, some girl walks up to me and asks if I am planning on going to Ulta today… and then just hands me to 20%  off coupons! How awesome is that! First I picked up a NYX lipstick in Tea Rose $3.50. Then, Mom had to talk me out of getting a bunch of new nail polish colors… we ended up just getting OPI’s Flashbulb Fuchsia $8.50 from the Brights Collection and an OPI Top Coat for $8.50 and an OPI Base Coat which runs for $8.50, but came free with purchase of two OPI Products!  So In all we ended up only spending like $17. Which is awesome! I really like Ulta, its always less crowded than Sephora and it has better sales… every time I go in they are having a sale!
